Art Appreciation—A Study of the Master Artists
Art appreciation is newly offered by Carol Brown on Thursday, May 15 at 6:30!
Each class will provide exposure to a master artist by viewing a large and professional art print and hearing a short artist biography. The art style and history of the featured print will be discussed and you will complete a simple art project related to that artist’s technique. All materials are provided by the instructor. True art appreciation develops with a hands-on art experience. (Amateurs welcome!)
May’s art, artist and art project:
“Black Iris” by Georgia O’Keefe, American 20th century abstract painter
Use watercolor pencils to create a painting of a flower to take home with you.
